Le Champion

Le Champion organizes running, walking, and cycling events. I was responsible for the branding and communication of major running events, including the Amsterdam Marathon, Dam tot Damloop, and Zandvoort Circuit Run.
In collaboration with the main sponsor, we developed the look and feel of each event, taking into account key factors such as the target audience, location, history, and overall context.

Dam tot Damloop
With over 80.000 participants, the Dam tot Dam Weekend is the biggest sports event in the Netherlands. We designed the whole branding from logo to finish line. Along with the whole branding of the Dampark which is a mini festival after the run.

Amsterdam Marathon
The TCS Amsterdam Marathon holds the World Athletics Platinum Label and has for many years featured one of the fastest courses in the world.
In the ranking of the world’s fastest marathon cities, the largest marathon in the Netherlands takes seventh place.
We wanted a recognizable color suited for both main sponsors and the city. Using the theme “Run Your Masterpiece” as a tribute to the old painting masters, we developed the key visual. The stadium, city, and surrounding areas were fully dressed with posters and signage in this visual style.

Zandvoort Circuit Run
In the last weekend of March, thousands of runners can participate in the Zandvoort Circuit Run. The start from the pit lane, racing through the sharp turns, over the hills of the circuit, through the dunes towards the beach and along the skyline of Zandvoort.
We created a design style that aligned seamlessly with the racing theme, from online to offline communication. As Art director i was responsible for the whole project and made sure everything was on point.
